Christina Lake to Nelson BC.

Left Cascade Cove RV Park around 10am, watery sun but no rain, thats good for the 140km. drive over the Bonanza Pass to Nelson.  You start to gently climb as soon as you pass by Christina Lake, we passed by the first snow a little over half way up.  The snow bank in the photo below was just after the summit at 1535metres

Well over and dropping down into Castlegar.

Arriving in Nelson 2.5 hours after setting off with a stop for gas in Castlegar

After setting up in the Nelson Campground we went for a walk into Nelson, street market today, all plants and vegetables. Baker Street closed to traffic  for the market.

A couple of shots of two of the famous stone buildings in Nelson, not sure what the above is, the one below is the Courthouse.

Walked back to the campground via the lakeside walk, sailing boats enjoying the sunshine which turned into this minutes later, the bridge is called BOB (big orange bridge) highway 3 crosses over to the other side of Kootenay Lake at the bridge.

This wood carving on a roof I thought was pretty cool.   Tomorrow weather permitting we will explore Nelson properly.
