Alaska Highway, Watson Lake

Yesterday afternoon was spent at the supermarket (yes Watson Lake has one and it was well stocked with good prices) buying gas $1.44 a litre less .03 cents a litre cos. we are staying in the Downtown RV Park. A visit to the beer shop where we stocked up on Yukon Ale, the Red is super the Gold ok but not in the Sleeman class.
Woke up this morning to sunshine and the temps. in the low 20s it got hotter through the day just nudging 30 and as I write this 7:30 pm the temp is 27c and I thought it would be cooler up north.

Before it got too hot we decided to do the walk around Wye Lake, we started at the boardwalk which is just opposite the campground

We soon arrived at the northern side of the lake a entered the woods on the far shore, we found lots of wild flowers and berries .  A wild Lupin, lots of these all through the woods.
Lots of mushrooms and toadstools, I lived in the Dordogne region of France for over 20 years which considers itself the fungi capitol of the world, but this morning I have seen more wild mushrooms and toadstools than in all that time.

They are every size and colour.

Far too many I must have over 30 pics. all different.

We didn't see a lot of bird life, this big boy being one of the exceptions.

We think this is a  "Lesser Yellowlegs"
Lots of pics. of berries and shrubs but I will save them for another day
