Hello from the flooded prairies of Saskatchewan

We have had 6 days of heavy rain, for 2 days we couldn't leave the trailer as the water completely surrounded the trailer.

On Saturday morning one of the men from the camping put a pallet down and we where able to go into Indian Head to buy a few things at the store.
Monday Ruth decided the laundry had to be done no matter the weather, donned shorts and flip flops and waded through the water , intrepid Yorkshire lass that she is.

Tuesday morning no rain, the sun is shining the wind has dropped to a gentle breeze and best of all, we have wifi again and also our first casualty of the storm, a Cedar Waxwing, poor thing not sure what the problem is maybe it will recover and fly on, time will tell.

Ruth off to walk into town and I decide to wander round the campground, what a mess feel for the owners, when this lot eventually goes down they will have a mega job cleaning up.

Couple of brighter photos lumber cart, that doesn't look the worse for wear.

One of the grain tours which we can see from the campground.

Ruth back from her walk - the gas station has no gas and as all the roads around Indian Head are closed because of the water- no deliveries.  Also the hardware store has run out of Wellies.

I think we will be here for a couple more days, let every thing get back to normal before we move on.
