A walk along Silver Creek Valley

We had intended to go to  Esterhazy today, back in Saskatchewan and visit The Potash Interpretive Centre, but not to be I'm afraid this is the Assiniboine Valley, you have to cross the river to get to Esterhazy and the flood is still over the road, the bridge hasn't been washed away, but they don't want you driving over it. Turned round and went back to the camping.  Those lovely sunflower types that we don't know the name of by the side of the road as I turned round

We decided to go on a walk from the camping along the Silver Creek, kids from the local school look after this trail, it was quite challenging to begin with and after about a kilometre you go join an old cart track that follows the creek.

The school have put up these paintings along the way, kinda cute.

Silver Creek though after all the storms we have had over the last couple of weeks - muddy creek may be a better description.

A couple dragonflies, beautiful little things.

The beaver are having a good try at cutting this tree down.

Another one of the kids paintings.

Lots of these wild roses everywhere.  Got back to the trailer for a late lunch, the sky went dark , the wind got up and we had this, lasted about 10 minuets- hailstone. Passed over , sun came back and the temperature 26c. crazy weather.

Tomorrow we move on east in the direction of Winnipeg, not sure where we will stop tomorrow night exciting!
