Wetaskiwin to The Alberta Badlands.

We leave Wetaskiwin today and head south to Drumheller in the Alberta Badlands, home of the Dinosaur.  We had a wonderful drive through some of the best farming country I think I have ever seen.
The Badlands are a bit of a shock, one moment you are in farmland and after the next rise you suddenly
drop down into a moonscape. The photo below is taken from our trailer, parked at The Dinosaur Trail RV Park, looking across The Red Deer River Valley.

On a walk around The Badlands Interpretive Trail.

It has a kind of beauty.

Evan amongst this desolate countryside there is life, Mountain Bluebird and a gopher coming up out of its burrow.

Follow the golden gravel trail.

Pretty bleak scene, but some wonderful treasures have been discovered here.

Looking across to The Royal Tyrrell Museum, we shall look at the wonders in there tomorrow.
