The Royal Tyrrell Museum.

CANADA'S MUSEUMS.     On this long voyage across the length and breadth of Canada we have come across some of the best museums either of us have ever visited.  Canada is a very large country but only has about 35 million inhabitants.  How they manage this vast land with such a small population is a living miracle and on top of that, they have all these wonderful museums, truly remarkable.

The Tyrrell is full of prehistoric animals or I should say 'the bones of'. Lots of T,rex's. We all know what they look like, so post something different.

A baby Dinosaur still in its egg.
This is a giant Ammonite.

Thought this had a good story behind it. I wonder what other treasures they have on their shelves yet to be rediscovered.

Another great story, what a job that must have been.

They weren't pretty animals though I suppose his Mum loved him.

What the people here call a bone bed.

Outside the museum last look at the Badlands.  Tomorrow we head east into Saskatchewan.
