Witty's Lagoon-The Beach Trail.

Today we visit Witty's Lagoon, lots of trails, not sure which trail to take, in the end we take the Beach Trail which wanders round the southern side of the lake, eventually reaching the Juan de Fuca Straight.

This is the Metchosin Creek as it tumbles down into the Lagoon.
The final drop, here the Metchosin Creek drops into the Lagoon 'The Sitting Lady Falls'. The Trail on the other side of the Lagoon is on the cliff opposite, we will do that walk on our next visit.
Part of the trail, it took us about 35 minutes to walk down to the beach stopping to take these pics.
The walk back 40 mins- uphill and no pics, a real blow.

Lots of gulls all in a row.

Looking across the Lagoon, still some autumn colours.

Bottoms up.
The beach looking across Parry Bay to the headland.

This is an interesting sight, an Arbutus tree wrapping itself around a couple of fir trees, I wonder how old these are.

Its a wonderful sight seeing the ducks and birds of course flying around in these large flocks.
