Oliver, a great place for bird migration.

For the last few days we have been relaxing here in Oliver, restocking the fridge, visiting the Doctor,  refilling prescriptions, the normal boring things of life.    In between we have been doing a bit of bird watching and have already come across a couple of birds we have not seen before.

This old Willow tree is right next to our trailer, a couple of European Starlings are busy making their nest in this hole, they don't seam at all bothered by the Northern Flicker (red shafted version) tapping away at the tree.

Red-winged Blackbird, lots of these lovely birds, this one balancing on a read by the lakeside.
Greater Scaup, first sighting, hopefully the next sighting they will be a little closer.

Mirror mirror who is the most beautiful of them all - female Trasher .

Another first sighting - Yellow-rumped Warbler - we think!

Couple more shots of European Starlings - wonderful colours.

Looking across the lake here at the park.
Looking forward to seeing more of Oliver and the surrounding countryside over the next few days.
