Following the Columbia River back into Canada.

Sunday morning, the beginning of an eventful day. the rain had stopped in the early hours, we pack up and start to move on - - no rear lights, the rain had come up through the drain holes of the rear lights on the trailer and blown the bulbs, luckily there was a Walmart next to the on ramp of the I84 and what a huge store, took half an hour to find replacement bulbs and around two minutes to fit them.  On the road again and driving by the side of the Columbia River.
Entering a part of the river they call The Dalles, named by the French Canadian Voyageur's who travelled down the river to Fort Vancouver to trade their furs at the The Hudsons Bay Company.

We picked up Highway 97 at Biggs Junction and crossed the Columbia River and began a long climb to The Selah Creek View point and the Davies Pass.

At Yakima the 97 connects with I82, this part of the drive was jaw dropping, the two pics. of the view as we dropped down into Ellensburg.

Arrive at The E&J RV Park in Ellensburg and problems again, the slide would not come out, the worse part of fixing this is crawling underneath to take off the inspection cover for the motor, fixing the problem with the motor requires a 1/4 turn on the motor shaft 30 seconds +20 minutes to slither under take the cover off + another 20 minutes to put the cover back and slither out and don't drop a screw, its a hell of a job, wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the steps.

On the road the next morning and the highest pass Blewett at 4102ft. continuing along the 97 through all the fruit orchards of the Okanogan as they spell it in America.

 The border post at Osoyoos.

Lake Tuc el Nuit, Oliver BC in The Okanagan River Valley (they spell it differently in Canada)
The RV park is alongside this lake.
