Beach's & Birds.

After a couple of days of wind and rain Monday morning arrived with blue skies and bright sunshine. We decide to visit Albert Head Lagoon. We have to pass by Esquimalt Lagoon on the way where we catch sight of some Mute Swans.  Albert Head Lagoon is a lovely quiet place with a sweeping beach with views across the bay to Victoria, not many birds though, some ducks on the far side of the lagoon but too far away to get any photos.

Albert Head Lagoon.

Looking across the bay to Victoria.
Some more of that log kelp or seaweed or whatever it is.

Lots and lots of logs just laying around on the beach.
Looking along the beach, with all that wood just lying around.

A Trumpeter and a Mute Swan swimming side by side.

Brewers Blackbird amongst all the wood debris.

Mr; & Mrs. Mallard sailing serenely through this Northern Pintail madhouse.

Mute signets wondering what all the fuss is about.

Not much walking today but none the less an interesting morning and the sunshine was very welcome after all the rain of the last few days.
