A taste of winter.

Yesterday (Thursday) winter arrived here in Victoria, we woke up to a dusting of snow, it snowed most of the day in a sort of lazy way, not knowing wether to get on with it and put down a real coating or give up and go away, the result being we spent a day reading and catching up on emails etc.
This morning bright sunshine and blue skies with a covering of the white stuff, and that makes for a change of scene for some photos.

This is the path from the parking to Thetis Lake, we were last here nearly 2 months ago when we first arrived on the Island.

Looks a little different today, I think I prefer the winter scene.

This dog chasing her (it was a her) ball into the water, the cold temperature didn't deter her, the temp. hasn't gone above -2c. today.

On our way back to the truck and then a quick detour to the Lagoon before we go and do our weekly food shopping.

The snow lying on the logs makes for an interesting photo.

We have been down to this Lagoon quite a few times and never looked at this memorial, its to commemorate 4 ships which grounded here in a storm in 1863.
Short blog today now off to the superstore to do the weekly shop.  Tomorrow there is another light parade in Victoria this time working trucks which should be different, stay tuned!
