Brandon to Binscarth Manitoba.

Thursday morning 10/07 and we move on from Brandon northwest to Binscarth, we were going to come to this area on our way east, but because of the storms last week we couldn't make it then, so a week later we are going back a little ways around 185km to explore that part of western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan.
The old grain elevator above was at Beulah on highway 83 what a beauty.

The other morning before I went to the army museum we went for a drive in the countryside north of Brandon. We just went up a gravel road for a few kilometres, stopped and looked at the wild flowers by the side of the road, we counted 14 different types of flowers within about 10 metres of the truck.
The flower above awe thought was a Black Eyed Susan, but the more we look at it we are less sure, with a couple of those golden dragonflies, don't know the make I'm afraid, don't know much about them at all in fact.

on our last walk in the Brandon Hills we saw only one of these The Western Tiger Lily, here there were dozens.

These last three we have no idea what they are, note the small blue dragonfly on the bottom photo.

On our way back to Brandon passed through the small village of Forrest with its old elevator.

Parked up at The Silver Creek Camping just outside Binscarth, a funny name, one of the original inhabitants was from Binscarth, Orkney Isles, and like a lot of the early settlers they named the new village after the old one back in the old country.

The swimming pool here at the camping.
Silver Valley Creek

Looking across the valley to Binscart and its modern grain elevator.
