A walk along Island View Beach.

Tuesday morning and the sun is shining and off we go to Island View Beach Regional Park.

A view across Cordoba Channel to James Island.

A natural wind and waved formed wood sculpture.

Along the trail there was this huge rose bush covered with rose hips and birds. Are these two birds Lincoln Sparrows?
We think this is an American Tree Sparow.
When we got back to the truck, planning to go back in the direction of Victoria and stopping off at Elk Lake, The heavens opened and that was it for the day.
Wednesday morning cold and sunny off to Wittey's Lagoon but a quick stop at Esquimalt  Lagoon to check on the wildfowl population.

An American Wigeon shaking its feathers.

Amazing colours of a male Bufflehead.

Hooded Mergenser's

And to finish an American Crow, I think these birds are quite striking.
